What Materials Management contributes to Cardinal Health

Operations is responsible for materials handling and product distribution within a distribution or manufacturing environment. This role oversees warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management, as well as demand, supply, and manufacturing planning.

Materials Management is responsible for managing material inventory levels to ensure that raw material components and manufactured products are available when needed to meet plant and customer requirements. Responsibilities include planning and procuring material components to minimize obsolescence and overstock while achieving high customer service levels.

The General Warehouse Supervisor coordinates and supervises daily warehouse and operational activities, ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards. This role has a direct impact on operational efficiency, product quality, and customer satisfaction.



Qualifications

  • 4–8 years of relevant experience, preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience , preferred
  • Industrial Engineering degree strongly preferred
  • Advanced English, required
  • Strong experience within the Medical Device industry, required
  • High level of experience in Quality systems and compliance
  • Proven supervisory and leadership experience managing teams of 100+ employees
  • Solid knowledge of warehouse operations, materials management, and planning processes
  • Experience with raw materials, inventory control, and production planning orders

  • Coordinate and supervise daily warehouse and operational activities
  • Lead, coach, and supervise large teams (100+ employees) within warehouse operations
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and operational guidelines
  • Oversee inventory control, warehouse resources, and materials flow
  • Manage raw materials, warehouse planning, and production planning orders
  • Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and regulatory requirements
  • Support demand, supply, and materials planning processes
  • Make operational decisions that directly impact work unit performance and customer outcomes
  • Collaborate frequently with subordinates, customers, and cross-functional teams at various management levels
  • Resolve operational issues and support continuous improvement initiatives
