What Data Management and Governance contributes to Cardinal Health
Data Management and Governance provides direction of data assets and is responsible for data strategy, quality, standards and service levels. Data management acquires, validates, standardizes, enriches, protects and publishes structured, third party and unstructured data for use by the business. Governance defines and implements policies, standards and metrics that ensure the effective and efficient use of trusted data and statistical models to support regulatory and business goals.
What is expected of you and others at this level
1. Oversee the Product Master data life-cycle for pharmaceutical products in order to identify, analyze and present relevant insights that drive business decisions and anticipate opportunities to achieve a competitive advantage.
2. Manage a team of Master Data Management data professionals who perform Master data creation and maintenance activities. The role also involves periodically planning and performing audits on master data quality and process efficiency.
3. Manage team development initiatives, cultivate employee skill enhancement, and administer performance management and appraisal systems.
4. As a manager, the role involves interacting with the larger data management and business teams to optimize data management processes.
5. Responsible for resource deployment to fulfill request pipelines and adjust team capacity to manage periodic workload shifts and surges.
6. Other responsibilities will include, periodic reporting, co-ordination with cross-functional data management teams, manage and address escalations and generate root-cause analysis
7. Coordinates and supervises the daily activities of operations or business staff
8. Administers and exercises Cardinal Health and Data Management policies and procedure
9. Ensures employees operate within guidelines: Decisions have a direct impact to work unit operations and customers
10. Frequently interacts with subordinates, customers, and peer groups at various management levels
Qualifications Required
- 8-10 years of experience is mandatory
- SAP MDG / Informatica & Reporting experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
