Sr Project Manager - Manufacturing Initiatives

Job Summary
As a key member of the Cardinal Health Corporate Engineering team, the Sr Project Manager will drive the successful introduction, transfer, and ongoing production of Cardinal Health's medical devices within our manufacturing network. You will lead large-scale corporate programs, collaborating with Quality, R&D, Sustaining Engineering, Procurement, Marketing, and Regulatory teams to ensure seamless execution and optimal performance at both internal facilities and contract manufacturers. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with a proven ability to deliver high-quality, innovative, and cost-effective solutions in a dynamic, multi-project environment.


Responsibilities

  • Spearhead large-scale initiatives across the manufacturing network, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives
  • Manage program budgets and financials, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Responsible for both direct and indirect cross functional team members
  • Drive the successful introduction of new manufacturing processes, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
  • Oversee process transfers, ensuring minimal disruption and maintaining consistent product quality.
  • Support strategic sourcing initiatives, identifying opportunities for cost savings and process optimization.
  • Develop detailed project plans and schedule; identify and obtain resources needed; communicate project objectives and deliverables, review schedule and progress with appropriate stakeholders; revise project timelines if necessary.
  • Leads the Core Team Meetings to ensure the project is on-track, that all Core Team Members are aware of current and upcoming deadlines, and identifies and addresses any emerging issues.  In the event of conflict the Program Manager has the power to decide on the outcome (within the frame of the project plan) and is accountable for the decision.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all Core Team Members are involved in key decisions and buy-in to the decision going forward.
  • Negotiate with business partners through the decision making process and influence the outcome.  
  • Provide regular, concise status reports to key stakeholders, highlighting progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors in Engineering or related field preferred
  • Advanced Degree is desired
  • Preferred Certifications: PMP, Lean Six Sigma
  • 8+ years of experience in engineering project management preferred
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing high-performing technical teams preferred
  • Experience with GMP and FDA regulations in medical device industry preferred
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex technical information and make data-driven decisions.
  • Solid understanding of financial principles, budgeting, and commercial evaluation processes.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical and business information to diverse audiences.
  • Travel Expectation: Approximately 25% (Domestic and International)


Anticipated salary range: $117,700 – $168,100
