Job Summary
Project Engineer sits within Project Management function and is responsible for managing the execution of projects consisting of single or multiple projects and/or programs. The role is required to overlook the overall progress of projects assigned, working with cross-functional teams. You will be required to work within the constraints of budget, schedule and scope while managing risk and ensuring adherence to established processes and methodologies.
Job Description
Manage projects of all sizes through intake, initiation, planning, managing and monitor programs or projects and facilitating successful, on-time and within budget execution.
Scope management and control/ balance on scope creep and business engagement.
Support on the Product and Process validations during project running with the product /process knowledge.
Directs day-to-day activities for multiple work-stream teams through managing project plans, resourcing, status reporting, resolving issues by identifying the root cause, and project risks and accountability for deliverables across multiple functional organizations.
Review existing project workflows related to engineering and recommend process improvements as needed. Lead the process or workflow optimization activities. Ensure workflow processes documented are accurately reflected; secure compliance and alignment from all affected units/partners prior to recommending changes.
Manage the tracker and make sure all the projects are maintained and updated.
Communicate with stakeholders for the program progress.
Manage relationships with suppliers to ensure full alignment of technologies and products requirements.
Coordinate all Change-management control and ensure suppliers adhere to operating procedures, product specifications & work instructions.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree or above in Biomedical, Mechanical engineering, Chemical, Material Science or equivalent.
At least three years’ relevant experience in Project Management, Product, Equipment or Process Engineering in the Medical Device or equivalent experience in related field
Experience working in multi-national company preferred
Familiarity with project Gantt Chart creation, timeline control, and material, product / process validation
Results-driven and proactive mindset to develop effective solutions to supply chain and other functions
Positive attitude, willing to stress him/herself to achieve more
Able to work with various cultures and travel within Asia at short notice
Sound interpersonal and communication skills in English, both verbal and written
