What Transportation contributes to Cardinal Health
Transportation is responsible for the movement of materials and products between suppliers, manufacturing, warehousing, and the customer. Management of transportation assets and systems to gain greater service, cost efficiency and optimization of processes.
The Delivery Tracking Analyst contributes by ensuring real-time visibility of shipments, enabling proactive communication and resolution of delivery issues, and supporting the overall reliability of transportation operations.

- Basic understanding of courier network.

- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying tracking gaps or inefficiencies
Accountabilities
- Monitor daily delivery activity and shipment status across transportation systems
- Track shipments from dispatch to final delivery, ensuring timely and accurate updates
- Track timely post-departure progress of trailers into depot locations, progress of sort completion, and timely launch of last mile vehicles.
- Proactive Monitoring: Track shipments via carrier alerts, carrier portals (future SOAR and or GPS/ELD/New products)
- Communicate delivery impacts and exceptions to internal stakeholders and final mile customers
- Collaborate with courier partners to resolve tracking discrepancies and missing deliveries
- Assist Transportation Engineers in communicating delivery impacts and service updates
- Exception Triage: Identify and classify issues by severity.
- Escalation Management: Route critical issues to on-call internal and external leads.
- Maintain and update tracking records and delivery milestone data
- Support reporting on delivery performance metrics and trends; Provide standardized reporting throughout the shipment progress.
- Participate in root cause analysis for recurring delivery issues.
- Ensure compliance with SOPs and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Provide feedback on process improvements and participate in team initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
- 1-3 years of experience of Customer Service or Transportation related field, preferred
- Willingness to train with Senior Analyst of daily tasks
- Strong work ethic, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook GMBs (nice to have: proficiency in Report HUB, Manhattan WMS, TEAMs, SOAR, and Pando/TMS)
- Ability to build strong collaborative relationships and communicate effectively in English
- Available to work 9:00 am–6 pm EST
