Cardinal Health-Gananoque is looking for positive and team-oriented individuals to join our Gananoque manufacturing center as Machine Operator II, to support the production department.
Join our ECG team to make an impact by operating the disposable electrode machines, under the supervision of the Lead Hands and Production Supervisor.
Hours: Shifts will run on a 2 week basis from 7am to 7pm for days then from 7pm to 7am, for the night shift
Location: Gananoque, Ont
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Operation of electrode machines to produce disposable electrodes
Set up machine with proper materials
Monitor production runs and make necessary adjustments
When necessary, replenish as many as nine different materials as they run out
2. Ensure quality of electrodes during production and maintain acceptable scrap levels
Monitor production based upon feedback
Make necessary adjustments as required, referring to specifications
Perform random sampling and testing to control quality levels (gel weights, sensor tests)
3. Perform repairs and adjustments within operators capabilities
Changing small moving parts (i.e. gel nozzles, springs etc)
Report all major problems that require maintenance staff to supervisor
Provide assistance to maintenance staff when required
4. Assign and maintain batch codes
Record and verify batch code from each raw material
Complete and maintain accuracy of documentation
5. Test new material or assist in developing new products (under supervisor/Engineering supervision)
Set up for different materials
Monitor and report results
Make suggestions and work with others to improve development
6. Maintain cleanliness of machine and work areas
Ensure machine is maintained in good operating condition (request repairs as needed)
Ensure machine is free of grease, rust, dirt etc
Ensure a clean & orderly work area by following the 5S standards to improve overall efficiency of operations

Your previous experience in a manufacturing environment would be an asset
You have machine maintenance skills, high mechanical aptitude and problem solving ability

You are comfortable with lifting up to 50 lbs
You have general knowledge of production practices
You have the ability to work in a 24/7 environment
