What Engineering Program/Project Management contributes to Cardinal Health
Engineering is responsible for performing research and analyses to develop design options for components, products, systems and processes.
Program/Project Management is responsible for managing the execution of programs and/or projects consisting of single or multiple projects and/or programs. May manage project and/or program managers within assigned program and/or project. Works within the constraints of budget, schedule and scope while managing risk and ensuring adherence to established processes and methodologies.
Qualifications
- 4-8 years of experience, preferred
- Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferre
- Engineering: Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics/Electromechanical/Industrial Engineer or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in project management.
- Advanced English.
- Certification: 6Sigma/Lean, Project Management.
- Project Supervision and Management.
- Availability to travel.
- Project Supervision and Management
- Knowledge of: Lean, ISO 13485, FDA QSR, and all applicable MDSAP regulations
- Experience in mechanical machine design: SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.
- Proficiency in using a PC, MS Office products, Visio, MS Project, etc.
What is expected of you and others at this level
- Manage and lead transfer projects, volume increases, and new processes.
- Identify necessary resources inside and outside the plant, as well as assign individual tasks.
- Manage day-to-day operational aspects according to the project scope.
- Use Opex tools.
- Evaluate and minimize the risk of project impact.
- Ensure documentation changes.
- Report activities monthly.
- Manage the project budget. Follow up with the different areas involved.
- Define the training required for project implementation and deployment.
- Evaluate the development of automation project engineers.
- Assign projects to automation team members. Comply with the necessary safety measures to prevent accidents, occupational illnesses, and environmental contingencies within the company.
- Advise, guide, and train engineers under their supervision.
- Ensure standardization in lean manufacturing and process operations through compliance with local and global guidelines.
- Coordinate volume and flexibility increase projects.
- Maintain the action plan for improving efficiency and scrap metrics.
- Advise process engineers on the implementation of continuous improvement systems and tools.
- Coordinate the Kaizen (True North) program for efficiency, MUV, and OEE.
- Assign projects and tasks according to priorities.
- Maintain updated VSMs for the main product families (COP 80%).
- Define and monitor SMED (changeover time improvement) for critical equipment.
- Define and execute projects to improve lead times and cycle times.
- Ensure documentation changes (routings, BOMs, WIs, setup sheets).
- CAPA support.
- Define the training required to implement improvements.
- •Qualify (validate) changes and/or equipment to improve process flexibility and capacity.
- Execute action plans to improve FPY and address recurring customer complaints.
- Implement Mistake Proofing in processes with recurring NCRs and/or high scrap.
