We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Engineer in iOS Development who can independently manage end-to-end iOS application development and mentor junior team members in feature implementation. The ideal candidate will proactively adopt the latest technologies introduced by Apple and bring expertise in building E-commerce applications.

Mandatory Skills

  • Strong proficiency in Swift and SwiftUI
  • Hands-on experience with VIPER architecture
  • Expertise in Auto Layout and Size Classes for iPhone and iPad designs
  • Skilled in writing Unit and UI Test Cases using XCTest framework
  • Experience integrating RESTful APIs and working with local databases such as Realm and CoreData
  • Basic Android development experience and scale up to full stack development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineering managers, product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions that meet market needs in terms of functionality, performance, and reliability.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members.
  • Deliver high-quality code within an Agile development environment.
  • Review and approve software designs and implemented code.
  • Identify areas for technical improvement and propose detailed business cases for enhancements or new opportunities.
  • Maintain and update architectural documentation; create new documentation as required.
  • Lead the technical aspects of the iOS team and ensure timely delivery of project milestones.

Job Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in iOS app development (experience building apps from scratch is a plus)
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Swift
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with SwiftUI
  • 0.6-1 years experience in Android App Development
  • Strong experience in writing Unit and UI tests using XCTest framework
  • Proven experience with VIPER architecture and use cases
  • Familiarity with Swift Package Manager
  • Expertise in Auto Layout and Size Classes for adaptive UI design
  • Strong problem-solving skills with flexibility in approaching technical challenges
  • Ability to work on multiple applications, switch contexts quickly, and debug complex issues effectively
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear documentation and collaboration
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams within geographically distributed matrix organisations
