Job Summary
This individual is responsible for designing and developing learning content for both external customers and internal teams, utilizing various delivery methods such as self-paced modules, web-based platforms, and virtual environments. They ensure all training materials align with WaveMark and Learning Solutions standards, incorporating storytelling techniques to reflect WaveMark's voice and industry. The role involves creating storyboards, producing media, and developing eLearning modules and curricula that leverage technology to meet learning objectives, including videos, simulations, and interactive authoring. They also create learning objectives and design documents to optimize knowledge transfer, driving the end-to-end training development lifecycle using adult learning theory principles and design standards like the ADDIE model. Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders is crucial for gathering information, refining objectives, and producing relevant training resources. Furthermore, they monitor product, system, and process updates to revise training programs accordingly.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and create learning content to support many delivery types – including self-paced, web, and virtual, for external customers and internal teams.
- Ensure deliverables are aligned to WaveMark and Learning Solutions standards to produce training deliverables with the storytelling ability to incorporate the voice and style that reflects WaveMark and the industry.
- Write storyboards, produce media, and create eLearning modules and curriculum that use technology to achieve learning objectives - including videos, simulation, interactive authoring, and more.
- Create learning objectives, design documents, and other learning design and communication deliverables to optimize knowledge transfer and application.
- Drive the end-to-end training development lifecycle, using principles of adult learning theory and design standards such as the ADDIE model.
- Partner and build lasting relationships with internal stakeholders to gather information, create, and refine objectives, and produce relevant training resources and deliverables.
- Monitor product, system, and process updates; revise training programs to incorporate changes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
- 4+ years’ experience in adult learning theory and concepts, instructional design theory, and measurement and evaluation methods preferred
- Proven ability to develop engaging and effective training to provide essential knowledge, teach key behaviors and support user metrics.
- Excellent understanding of the latest thinking in adult learning concepts and techniques
- High level of proficiency with eLearning design technology and authoring software, including the Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Photoshop, Premiere Pro), Articulate 360 - Rise and Storyline, and MadCap Flare preferred
- Strong attention to detail (proofreading and editing skills a plus).
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication, and writing skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with the healthcare industry preferred.
- Travel Expectations: 10%
Anticipated salary range: $67,500 - $101,115
