Principal Project Engineer

What Engineering Program/Project Management contributes to Cardinal Health

This position is responsible for: Define, validate, and document manufacturing processes with optimal use of resources, ensuring the level of quality, productivity and minimizing waste (scrap), continually improving the capacity of processes to meet specifications. Give direct support to production, by identifying cost reduction, generating ideas, solving and coordinating work teams, risk analysis, solution coordination, definition of processes, project planning, mentoring techniques and focused on providing sustainable technical solutions.

Program/Project Management is responsible for managing the execution of programs and/or projects consisting of single or multiple projects and/or programs. May manage project and/or program managers within assigned program and/or project. Works within the constraints of budget, schedule and scope while managing risk and ensuring adherence to established processes and methodologies.

  • 4-8 years of experience
  • Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, required

  • Respond opportunely to the LAPS, identifying the root cause of the deviations to the system Identify and minimize the sources of Scrap
  • Plan and execute OPEX projects
  • Design technical and operational training
  • Keep the PFMEA updated
  • Execute the process validations according to the MVP
  • Define capacity increase needs
  • Support new product projects
  • Solution of productivity and scrap quality problems by applying analysis and optimization techniques
  • Keep the cost of products updated
  • Comply with the necessary security measures to prevent accidents, occupational diseases and environmental contingencies within the company.
  • Comply with the environmental measures established in the Internal Work Regulation.
  • Coordinate and implement the QIP / COS initiative in the process area.
  • Effective Team Building
  • CAPEX project management (Capital and Expenses).
  • Generate engineering documentation to support validations and engineering change
