What Data Governance contributes to Cardinal Health

Data Governance is responsible for the disciplined execution of governance programs and practices across all data.

  • Applies knowledge and ability to define and/or operate against the vision/strategy of data and governance.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of data governance modeling, tools, and practices
  • Identifies and manages data quality in alignment with the needs of the business and/or industry
  • Ensures complete protection of data with all policies as it relates to visibility and distribution
  • Identifies and communicates insights and potential upstream/downstream impacts and opportunities to customers, business and/or enterprise leaders
  • Exemplifies effective communication and change management skills to varying audiences

Accountabilities in this role

Data Quality Technology Specialist will be part of the Enterprise Data Organization and will be responsible for advancing and maturing data quality capabilities. This role will partner with the Data Quality team to:

  • Build, Maintain, and Enhance custom data quality technology solution in line with the DQ strategy
  • Build, Maintain, and Enhance data quality rules
  • Capture and maintain documentation of work processes
  • Build, Maintain and Enhance data defect database
  • Build, Maintain and Enhance data quality workflows and jobs

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field, Industry Certifications, and/or work experience
  • 4+ years professional experience preferred
  • Ability to collect, synthesize, and interpret information from multiple sources as well as provide easy to understand recommendations
  • Experience in Data Governance and Quality Technologies (Informatica, SAP, Collibra, others)
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (Google Console, GCS, Dataproc, Big Query, Data Studio) required
  • Experience with data management, engineering and analysis leveraging data science tools (Alteryx, Tableau, PowerBI or similar) and Scripting Languages (Python, SQL, etc.) required
  • Strong experience of continuous improvement, Agile, DevSecOps delivery, and continuous learning required
  • Strong knowledge of Cardinal Heath business processes and systems preferred.
  • Presentation, communication, planning skills experience
