We are currently in need of a Senior SAP Software Engineer within the SAP ABAP & Governance Team!
What Application Development & Maintenance contributes to Cardinal Health
Information Technology oversees the effective development, delivery, and operation of computing and information services. This function anticipates, plans, and delivers Information Technology solutions and strategies that enable operations and drive business value.
Application Development & Maintenance performs configuration or coding to develop, enhance and sustain the organization's software systems in a cross-functional team environment through adherence to established design control processes and good engineering practices. SAP Visionary and broad technologist. This job family programs and configures end user applications, systems, databases, and websites to achieve the organization's internal needs and externally facing business needs. Application Development & Maintenance partners with business leaders, investigates user needs and conducts regular assessments, maintenance, and enhancements of existing applications.
Responsibilities
- Provide ABAP development for projects, enhancements, defects and performance tuning.
- Provide governance for ABAP design and coding, including conducting code reviews.
- Support our SAP platform and ensure that we leverage the power of the technology to its fullest potential.
- Analyze and troubleshoot technical issues and develop and deliver solutions based on system analysis and user requirements.
- Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for improvement while staying up to date with the latest technology trends and industry best practices.
- Support the successful scaling of our current SAP DevOps initiatives to optimize the experience and productivity of developers and other users.
- Explore and drive technical change and innovation in SAP including exploring SAP futures on S/4, RISE and BTP.

- Provide guidance and leadership for junior level ABAP developers
Qualifications
- 8-12 years of experience preferred.
- BA, BS preferred or equivalent experience in related field preferred.
- Extensive SAP ABAP and other Application Development experience on SAP.
- Experience with SAP concepts of “Keeping the core clean” in an S/4 environment.
- Experience with APIs, integrations and SAP RAP programming methodology & ASAPIO
- Experience with SAP running in the cloud, especially Google Cloud.
- Experience using Eclipse or similar tools.
- Experience in Fiori and Workflow development across SAP modules.
- Solid grasp of SAP technical architectures.
- Strong SAP performance tuning experience.
- An understanding of SAP Hana and UI5.
- SAP functional experience is a plus.
- SAP Basis experience a plus.
Anticipated salary range: $121,600 - $173,700
