Radiology provides services using imaging equipment, including X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs to create images of the body for diagnosis and treatment.
Responsibilities
Perform high-quality diagnostic X-ray exams and DEXA bone density scans according to physician orders and protocol
Accurately position patients and operate imaging equipment to obtain optimal diagnostic images
Educate and prepare patients for procedures, ensuring comfort and safety throughout
Operate and maintain imaging equipment and ensure rooms are clean, stocked, and prepared
Perform and document routine QC/QA procedures for X-ray and DEXA equipment to ensure image quality and regulatory compliance
Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or issues to the supervisor or service provider
Ensure adherence to radiation safety guidelines and ALARA principles
Upload and manage images using PACS, and accurately document procedures in the EMR system
Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare staff to support accurate diagnosis and patient care
Assist with administrative tasks, such as patient scheduling, check-in, and documentation, as needed
Maintain current knowledge of imaging best practices, equipment operation, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- ARRT (R) certification required
- CPR certification required
Anticipated hourly range: $35.00 per hour - $40.00 per hour
