Work Schedule:

  • Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm
  • Schedule subject to change depending on business needs
  • Position is initially on-site for training but could change to a hybrid role in the future

Anticipated hourly range: $17.90 per hour - $25.60 per hour

What Pharmacy Support Specialist contributes to Cardinal Health
Pharmacy Operations is responsible for the safe, efficient and effective coordination of Cardinal Health's pharmacy operations that service retail customers.

Pharmacy Support is responsible for performing clerical functions to support retail or health system pharmacy business operations. The Pharmacy Support Specialist is supporting Edgepark Pharmacy located in Twinsburg, OH focused providing excellent customer service to pharmacy patients.

Responsibilities

  • Answers inbound pharmacy customer phone calls for a mail order Durable Medical Equipment (DME) pharmacy
  • Can handle high volume of customer calls
  • Sets up patient profiles, collects payment information, patient eligibility, etc.
  • Can transfer calls when appropriate to pharmacy team
  • Reports to Senior Technician for daily goals and assignments
  • Adheres to standards set for phone metrics and is evaluated on performance
  • Is friendly, knowledgeable and customer oriented


Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of customer service phone/call center experience, preferred
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience, preferred
  • Pharmacy Technician preferred, but not required
  • Durable Medical Equipment (DME) experience preferred, but not required
