What Production Operation contributes to Cardinal Health

Manufacturing is responsible for cost of production and maintenance activities including process improvement, supply chain management, quality assurance, employee safety and engagement, and environmental commitment.

Production Operation operates light-duty bench- or floor-type machine tools and automation equipment. May set up machining machines and make adjustments, and perform maintenance on machines. Checks work using prescribed gauges, jigs and fixtures to measure close tolerances. Some machines may be numerically controlled. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

In charge of the complete Unit Business

People in charge:

DL= 400 employees  (200 by shift)

IDL = 25 employees

Main activities and Metrics:

  • Coordinate the activities of the production department to achieve objectives based on ELH and efficiency.
  • Providing support for compliance with the Quality System.
  • Comply with Cardinal's ethics policy and the FCPA Law, as well as disseminate the values ​​of Cardinal Health.
  • Weekly requirement of Production operators according to the Requirement of the month and cover resignations.
  • Involvement in Regulatory-Internal Quality Audits.
  • Ensure that maintenance in Revolution is done in a timely and appropriate manner on a weekly basis to avoid payments outside of Payroll.
  • Achievement of the objectives established in the initiatives of the current fiscal year, as well as the establishment of the strategy to achieve them with your business unit, such as: Decrease CPMs
  • Reduce Absenteeism
  • Reduce Turnover Follow-up on main VOE opportunities
  • Work together with FINANCE to avoid discrepancies at the end of the month in Efficiency results.
  • Follow-up on order flow in Milestone (AGING) (TARGET)
  • Achieve Service Level goal

Qualifications

  • 4-8 years of experience, required
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, required
  • English level: advanced, required
