The scope of this role is to provide subject matter expertise as part of the Master Data Management organization within Cardinal Health’s Pharmaceutical Segment.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership in planning and sequencing end-to-end design workshops, supporting facilitation by leveraging industry best practices and extensive global SAP implementation experience.
- Lead and direct teams during problem-solving and crisis management.
- Identify gaps between business requirements and current solutions and develop options and cost estimates to bridge those gaps.
- Drive and guide the implementation team, facilitating integration and defining solutions for SAP MDG.
- Offer architecture recommendations, analyzing options and their pros/cons for potential changes to SAP MDG initiatives and functional solutions.
- Responsible for process design, configuration, testing assistance, requirements gathering, and establishing a fully functional MDG environment.
- Collaborate with Enterprise Architects, Solution Architects, and Product Owners to create detailed technical architecture patterns for master data initiatives.
- Conduct workshops to capture and document business requirements for SAP MDG.
- Partner with business stakeholders to develop innovative solutions addressing business challenges and opportunities.
- Author technical documentation, modify existing code, conduct code reviews, and perform data fixes and testing.
- Demonstrate expertise in functional integration by collaborating with business users to document requirements, create functional specifications, and support functional, regression, and UAT testing.
- Partner with Enterprise Architecture teams for product selection, capability roadmaps, and governance processes.
- Monitor and manage proactive maintenance of application platform environments.
- Support and lead prioritization meetings for enhancements and defect resolution with functional partners.
- Provide functional expertise, guidance, presentations, and instruction to stakeholders.
- Maintain an enterprise-wide perspective and guide others to understand the broader implications of decision-making.
- Interface with business solution teams and partners for operational platform events and solution design needs. Ensure critical MDG processes are monitored and alerted, automating recurring incidents where possible.
- Ensure compliance and encourage the adoption of standard tools like Solution Manager, Change Request Management, and JIRA.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred or equivalent work experience is preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in a related field is preferred.
- Expertise in the implementation of SAP MDG solutions for master data domains such as Customer, Vendor, and Material in large-scale projects is required.
- Extensive experience in integrating SAP MDG with SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA systems.
- Strong understanding of third-party interfaces and data conversion processes.
- Proven experience in aligning business process requirements with the technical implementation of SAP Master Data Governance.
- Expert-level SAP functional configuration experience in Material, Customer, and Supplier master data.
- Significant experience with BRF+ (Business Rule Framework plus), including building rule-based workflow services, user exits, BADIs, and working collaboratively with developers for enhancements.
- Proficiency in data model enhancement, data transfer (DIF/DEF), data replication framework (DRF), and rule-based workflow configuration.
- Experience in integrating business process requirements with SAP MDG technical solutions.
- SAP MDG certifications are a plus.

Anticipated salary range: $121,600 - $173,700
