Senior Consultant, Talent Management (Leader Effectiveness Programs)

Job Summary

The Leader Effectiveness Sr. Consultant is responsible for delivering differentiated development offerings and our global mentoring program within Cardinal Health. The intent of differentiated development, branded as “Growth for Next,” is to enable talent mobility throughout the organization aligned to near- and long-term succession planning.  The Sr. Consultant is expected to serve as both program and project management lead for these offerings. As part of our measures for success, the Sr. Consultant will assess participants’ development and will review talent mobility and the fulfillment of succession plans over time.  

This role reports to the Director of Talent Management / Leader Effectiveness and will work with peers in Talent Management, HR Business Partners, various HR COEs and key business leaders throughout the company. This role will also partner with key external vendors to deliver program solutions. As a part of the talent management team, this role will support the implementation of the talent strategy and established priorities.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate as a program manager for our differentiated development programs:
    • Plan, design, build, program manage, and deliver content for Envision, a high potential development program, and Elevate, a program for inclusive growth.  Partner closely with external vendor and internal executive sponsors
    • Plan, develop, implement and program manage external vendors for Empower, programs to foster gender partnerships
    • Support Evolve, executive coaching offering, in partnership with director, through the management of external vendor partnerships, documenting internal coaching engagements, and tracking of success metrics
    • Support executive development offering(s) in conjunction with director
    • Collaborate with the Cardinal Health Diversity Equity & Inclusion team and our DE&I governing forums
    • Ongoing evaluation of existing programs and identify opportunities for enhancements
  • Serve as a program manager for the Cardinal Health’s Global Mentoring Program:
    • Manage the relationship with our third-party vendor
    • Support Open Mentoring program and the program ambassadors for the volume of specified programs within the platform; build partnership with external vendor
    • Continue to identify opportunities to streamline and drive efficiency
  • Provide support for other Leader Effectiveness and Talent Management programs:
    • Provide coaching to the enterprise on development assessments, such as 360, StrengthsFinder and Hogan
    • Assist with team effectiveness facilitation i.e. New Leader Acceleration, StrengthsFinder Team Discovery sessions and Hogan Team sessions
    • Engagement with the Leadership Development Alumni Network (LDAN)
    • Creation of external development curriculum catalogue
    • Provides support on organizational culture initiatives, as needed
  • Demonstrate knowledge of talent management theories, practices and solutions
  • Provide talent management recommendations and solutions to all organizational levels, including senior leadership
  • Accelerate the development of successors through developing future capabilities
  • Partner closely with our Learning & Delivery COE team to ensure cohesiveness across all our Leadership Development offerings

    Qualifications

    • Bachelors in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
    • 5+ years in related field, Talent Management or HR Business Partner experience strongly preferred
    • Bring an enterprise mindset and an understanding of key stakeholders throughout the organization; executive interface expected
    • Demonstrated ability to turn theory into action and practical application
    • Subject matter expertise in talent processes, program management along with strong project management and implementation abilities 
    • Demonstrated business acumen and change leadership
    • Ability to develop strong relationships and influence others, including senior level leadership
    • Proficiency with Office 365 and Microsoft Teams
    • Certified StrengthsFinder, 360 Feedback and Hogan coach preferred

    Anticipated salary range: $103,500-$155,295
