BioPharma Solutions & Strategic Sourcing at Cardinal Health is responsible for creating strategic partnerships with suppliers to unlock enterprise value, lower sourcing cost, access to product, and provide supply chain stability. We partner with suppliers and customers to provide a best-in-class whole seller distribution experience.

The purpose of our Sourcing Solutions & Commercial Intelligence team is to transform the BioPharma Solutions & Strategic Sourcing organization to become the leader biopharma distributor and services provider. We aim to consistently exceed customer expectations, drive significant growth, and streamline operations by developing innovative analytics solutions and commercial services. Our team is responsible for managing a set of strategic analytics programs for suppliers and customers, supporting the Strategic Sourcing organization with commercial and market intelligence solutions, and identifying and developing new strategic plans and growth levers for our business.

The Senior Consultant, Strategic Planning and Execution (Strategy & Business Analytics), is responsible for developing and executing strategic plans by leveraging market intelligence, data analytics methods, industry knowledge and cross-functional collaboration. This role specializes in supporting the Brand and Specialty Sourcing organization with a focus on maintaining and developing data commercialization programs.

The role is also responsible for serving as the business technology owner for our EDI Sales and Inventory technology platform. The role will have internal responsibilities, representing Strategic Sourcing needs with cross-functional IT teams, and external responsibilities, communicating with Suppliers and Data Aggregators over EDI Sales and Inventory questions.

Location - Targeting individuals local to Central Ohio, as this team operates in a hybrid work structure (Tuesday through Thursday in-office at our global headquarters in Dublin, Ohio with Monday's and Friday's being work-from-home / remote)

Responsibilities

  • Represents Strategic Sourcing with IT partners as the technology business owner for EDI Sales and Inventory Reporting (EDI 852/867).

  • Develops technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Solutions are innovative and consistent with the organization’s objectives.

  • Support stakeholders by developing long-term business strategies in response to competitive market changes.

  • Represents Strategic Sourcing with Suppliers and Third-Party data aggregators by answering questions regarding EDI Sales and Inventory Reporting (EDI 852/867)

  • Solves complex problems and delivers on business initiatives and processes by applying subject matter expertise and technical knowledge of the business. Identifies possible solutions viable solutions to various technical problems and takes actions to resolve them.

  • Works with Strategic Sourcing leadership teams on business development initiatives including the continued enhancement of existing service lines for optimized data analytics programs.

  • Contributes to the development of policies and procedures.

  • Conducts process demonstrations, quarterly business reviews, roadshows, and show & tells with various levels of business leaders and external partners.

  • Drives ‘art of possible’ sessions for stakeholders and creates a delivery roadmap with a bias towards speed.

  • Acts as a mentor to less experienced colleagues.

Qualifications

  • Ideally targeting individuals with 5+ years of net total experience in a related field, preferred.

  • Subject-matter expertise in self-service analytics tools (Alteryx, SQL) required.

  • Experience and expertise in data visualization tools (Tableau), Cloud Platforms (GCP, AWS), and scripting languages (Python or R), preferred.

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills required.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills required.

  • Attention to detail, ability to multi‐task, and prioritize workload in a fast‐paced environment required.

  • Experience with EDI-852/867 data a plus.

  • Supplier or customer facing experience a plus.

  • Project management and performance improvement experience or knowledge, preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal skills; Client service oriented (both internal and external).

  • Creative and persistent problem solver.

  • Attention to detail and business acumen, with the ability to solve complex problems in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience developing presentations and presenting to senior management.

Anticipated salary range: $103,500.00 - $147,850.00 (base)
