Community Health Center Pharmacy Support Clerk

Cardinal Health is looking for a highly motivated clerk to work in a company owned retail contract pharmacy. Pharmacy Support is responsible for performing clerical functions to support retail pharmacy business operations.   The pharmacy clerk helps health care providers and patients by greeting them in person and by phone; answering questions and requests and referring inquiries to the pharmacist.

This position requires excellent customer service skills, multi-tasking ability, and fluency in Spanish. Travel to other local pharmacy locations as needed, and work Saturday rotation at any pharmacy location as needed is also required.

  • Pharmacy Hours: Monday 10:00AM - 6:30PM. Tuesday - Friday 9:00AM - 5:30PM. Saturdays 9:00AM - 2:00PM. NOTE: Hours are subject to change.

  • Employee is required to travel to other pharmacies as needed and will receive mileage reimbursement.

Responsibilities

  • Applies acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete standard tasks

  • Works on routine assignments that require basic problem-resolution

  • Refers to policies and past practices for guidance

  • Receives general direction on standard work; receives detailed instruction on new assignments

Qualifications 

  • High school degree or equivalent, preferred 

  • Customer service skills 

  • Fluent in Spanish 

  • Reliable transportation

  • Ability to travel to other pharmacy locations in the area when necessary 

Pay rate: $21.00
