Marketing Copywriter & Editor

The Cardinal Health Pharma eCommerce Operations and Digital Marketing team is looking for an experienced Marketing Copywriter to lead the development of strategic marketing content to engage customers and drive revenue. This individual will own the marketing content process for functionalities across Cardinal Health’s pharmaceutical eCommerce platform, including on-page eCommerce content development and digital marketing copy (e.g. emails, banner and search ads, marketing landing pages, etc.), as well as solutions and services landing pages. This role will be responsible for timeline management and progress tracking and reporting across deliverables.

This is a cross-functional role that will also help execute product and technical content strategies, including product data and asset enrichment and help and support article development. A successful candidate will see every piece of copy as an opportunity to inform and educate the end user while reinforcing Cardinal Health’s brand, creating a seamless experience as they navigate the platform.

This role is highly collaborative and will require working closely with product management, UX and research. Candidate should be process oriented and skilled in driving progress against project timelines, with the ability to pivot priorities and problem solve when necessary. When challenges arise, the fast-paced environment requires quick but thorough and thoughtful responses that align with operational goals. Exceptional organization and communication skills are a must. This role will be managed by the eCommerce Operations Content Supervisor.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the development of marketing content that consistently follows brand standards, editorial guidelines, voice, tone and messaging strategy. Ensure all deliverables maintain brand integrity.
  • Update and maintain eCommerce marketing copy style guide as new needs are presented.
  • Understand how every piece of copy reads individually and as part of the comprehensive user journey; apply that knowledge to ensure consistency throughout the user experience.
  • Support customer communication of new features, product releases and enhancements.
  • Work cross-functionally with product, UX, research and marketing and legal teams to develop content that drives conversion, product adoption and retention.
  • Enrich product data and assets using Product Information Management (PIM) and Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems.
  • Write/edit digital marketing copy, including emails, banner and keywords search ads and campaign landing pages.
  • Manage time efficiently to work on multiple deliverables at once and ensure all deadlines and/or SLAs are met.
  • Demonstrate flexibility by being able to pivot when high-priority projects with tight deadlines arise.
  • Receive feedback and direction from clients, stakeholders and strategic partners and incorporate resulting ideas and insights to the creative process.
  • Utilize time management skills to enable you to work on multiple deliverables at the same time.

Skills / Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field preferred
  • 5+ years as a copywriter, with experience defining content strategy in collaborative, deadline-oriented environment
  • Experience in eCommerce required
  • Experience in digital content design, UX writing, and/or content strategy a plus
  • Experience working in Workfront project management and agile planning a plus
  • Experience in healthcare or pharmaceutical industry a plus
  • Must be a creative and strategic thinker
