The Marketing Communications team is responsible for partnering with marketing and cross functional teams across the Global Medical Products & Distribution organization to deploy, measure and optimize omnichannel marketing strategies used to attract, engage and retain an audience.
Job Summary
As a Marketing Communications Manager specializing in B2B digital and content marketing, you will be responsible for executing omnichannel marketing strategies to drive growth and deliver results based on key business initiatives. This position requires exceptional client management skills and a deep understanding of digital marketing while leveraging data-driven insights to optimize campaigns.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the laboratory business to develop and execute comprehensive content and digital marketing strategies aligned with business initiatives and target audience preferences.
- Initiate the planning, implementation, and optimization of digital campaigns across various marketing channels, including for paid social and paid search (SEM), setting clear expectations and delivering results.
- Apply excellent digital marketing expertise by identifying, executing and managing digital tactics/channels including, email, SEO/SEM, social media, programmatic and native advertising.
- Ensure alignment of content and tactics across various campaign channels and drive customers to landing pages using call-to-actions related to business objectives.
- Establish goals and KPIs for Marcom initiatives to optimize spend, track campaign performance and measure ROI.
- Capture, review and recommend actionable optimizations related to marketing performance metrics.
- Effectively manage marketing communications projects and execute multiple campaign workstreams simultaneously.
- Display excellent project management skills to deliver projects on time and independently.
- Work with multiple cross functional partners to execute end-to-end content development and strategic deployment.
- Develop landing pages and email content in marketing automation systems to support Laboratory Marcom campaigns.
- Utilize data analytics partners to track performance metrics, analyze campaign effectiveness, and identify areas for improvement along with new campaign initiatives.
- Demonstrate excellent critical thinking skills and the ability to strategize across key business initiatives to support high-performance results.
- Provide SG&A budget planning consultation and spend management support for Marcom initiatives to ensure that campaigns are completed according to the set duration and budget.
- Develop creative briefs for marketing communications efforts.
- Craft SOWs and manage relationships with agencies.
- Drive marketing communications best practice and process improvement.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate.
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendor partners to achieve desired results.
- Establish and cultivate long-term relationships with colleagues, demonstrating ongoing value of omnichannel marketing solutions and sharing new and enhanced capabilities with decision-makers.
Qualifications
- B.S. degree in Marketing or related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
- 4+ years of experience in related field, preferred
- 3+ years of digital marketing experience, either in-house or at an agency/consultancy, preferred
- Medical device, healthcare marketing, advertising agency, and/or product management experience, preferred
- Strong digital marketing background required. Must have experience in:
- Pardot / Account Engagement or related marketing automation system
- Salesforce.com or related sales and lead qualification system
- Paid Search (SEM) (Google Ads, Bing or Yahoo)
- Paid Social (LinkedIn and Facebook)
- Adobe Creative Suite
- Basic Photoshop and Dreamweaver experience preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including but not limited to Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Proficient computer skills and understanding of project management systems (e.g., Workfront, Sharepoint and Microsoft Teams), preferred
- Proficient with web analytics tools and data visualization platforms to derive actionable insights

Anticipated salary range: $79,700 - $113,800
** The salary range listed is an estimate. Pay at Cardinal Health is determined by multiple factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s geographical location, relevant education, experience and skills and an evaluation of internal pay equity.
