Manager, Presource Sourcing

Global Sourcing is responsible for creating and managing diverse strategic supplier partnerships that drive enterprise value with innovation, best cost and competitive advantages that benefit customers, suppliers and patients. Develops and executes strategic plans by leveraging market intelligence, industry knowledge and cross-functional collaboration. Competitive advantage is created through supplier selection and management, contract negotiation, supply chain optimization and risk mitigation.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of National Brand products, spend and suppliers.

  • Development and execution of global sourcing strategies to achieve best total value, sustainable productivity and high levels of quality and service aligned with business objectives.

  • Support a portion of the Presource (medical kitting) business ~$1B in revenue.

  • Manage $300M Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), 20+ critical suppliers to the Presource business, plus manage 2 team members with $130M COGS and 170+ suppliers. 

  • Central liaison between Presource Business & Towers

  • Execute category VIPS

  • Lead financial alignment and actuals

  • Identify and negotiate new Purchase-Price-Variance (PPV) & Funding opportunities

  • Lead dual sourcing projects

  • Execute RFPs and Mitigate inflation.


Qualifications

  • At least 8+ years of experience applying procurement practices/strategies focused on meeting the business challenges, P&L needs, and the needs of the organization with a minimum of 5 years of experience developing and implementing requirements/change management methodologies to execute strategic sourcing activities.

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred.

  • Experience with FDA-regulated medical device manufacturer, healthcare company and/or kitting preferred.

  • Experience in diagnosing, isolating, and resolving complex issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.

  • Experience coordinating and facilitating executive management meetings.

  • Expertise with contract requirements to negotiate critical terms and conditions.

  • Familiarity with manufacturing, quality and supply chain processes to support supplier selection and performance management.

  • Knowledge/experience in category management including technical product knowledge, cost drivers, related industry dynamics and market trends.

  • Demonstrated effectiveness in project and process management in order to execute sourcing strategy with cross functional teams.

  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; able to communicate effectively and interact with personnel at various levels of expertise on a global landscape.

  • Demonstrated financial acumen with an ability to interpret data and analytics.

  • Solid presentation abilities, including proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.

  • Experience of leading global cross-functional teams within a large matrix organization.

  • Willing to travel at least 15% for business purposes (within country and internationally).

  • Supply Issues: First point of contact for escalations, mitigate with supplier, drive solutions in collaboration with supply chain to reduce impact to customers and service levels.

  • Supplier Management: Supplier Business Review (SBR), contracts, alignment across towers, mitigate tactical operational issues.

  • Quality & Regulatory: Connection between suppliers and internal quality / regulatory requirements. 

Anticipated salary range: $103,500 - $155,295
