Position Summary
Support the Head of International Compliance in conducting compliance investigations in Asia region, in coordinating and enhancing the compliance program and risk management in Global Product and Supply Chain (GPSC) outside US and Service Centres and in developing compliance project at international region.
Job Description
The role will report directly to the Head of International Compliance and will be a member of the International Ethics and Compliance team.
The role will have the following responsibilities:
Investigation
- Carry out investigations in the Asia Pacific Region in coordination with the Head of International Compliance and the Corporate Investigations team based in US. When needed, the role can be supported or can coordinate directly the regional Compliance Business Partners guiding and instructing them on the steps to be followed and follow up on the progress and results.
- Determine if the investigation is substantiated and work with Regional Compliance Business Partners, in coordination with the Head of International Compliance and the Corporate Investigations team and if needed the Disciplinary Committee, for determining the actions to be taken.
- When needed or requested, the role could be also required to collaborate with Internal Audit team in conducting specific audit.
- The role will also work closely with SVP Ethics & Compliance, the International General Counsel Legal & Compliance as well as, if required due to the nature of the investigations, with the Chief Legal and Compliance Officer of Cardinal Health for alignment, coordination and the management of specific investigations.
Sourcing, Global Product and Supply Chain (GPSC) and Service Centre Compliance Program
- Coordinate the further development of the Sourcing, the Global Product and Supply Chain (GPSC) and the Service Centres performing and coordinating risk assessments, developing and implementing KPI’s and measurement tools, implementing and keeping updated the needed Policies and Procedures, designing and implementing the controls needed to mitigate the compliance risks for the area of responsibility, developing training and communication plans and materials with the scope to create and maintain awareness and knowledge among Cardinal Health employees in the supported areas on the Company compliance processes.
- While conducting the above-mentioned activities, this role will work with Legal & Compliance colleagues and in particular with the Global Product and Supply Chain (GPSC) and Service Centres Legal & Compliance team for determining the development of the Compliance program in GPSC and Service Centres outside US, providing feedback and advice as well as for alignment and work on common projects.
Compliance Projects
- Responsible for developing special international Compliance projects as requested by the Head of International Compliance.
- In this task, the role can work independently or will coordinate colleagues from the Legal and Compliance International department or from other functions, ensuring a good quality deliverable and the respect of the deadline providing constant update to his/ her manager.
Experience / Skill sets required
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with business partners at all levels of the company in all geographies.
- Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and effectively and create buy-in for key compliance initiatives with the senior and middle management of the various countries internationally and the US.
- Strong follow through and execution capability on compliance issues.
- Ability to prioritize competing demands on his/her time.
- Has good judgment and discretion to escalate matters appropriately to ensure the right stakeholders are involved in risk assessments.
- Is self-motivated with a good work ethic and is able to completes tasks on time and on target.
- Ability and experience in developing complex and cross-functional projects.
Qualification & Requirements
• At least 8 years of relevant investigation, audit, or compliance experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance / accountancy / law or equivalent.
• Preferred Knowledge and experience in pharmaceutical or related industries.
• Forensic auditing/investigation training, including technology use.
• Experience working for US-based business is advantageous.
• Native Thai (written and spoken); Fluent (written and spoken) English; In addition - Mandarin Chinese would be advantageous
