Finance/Accounting Embark Program

Why choose the Finance/Accounting Embark Program?

The Finance function oversees the accounting, tax, financial plans and policies of the organization, establishes and maintains fiscal controls, prepares and interprets financial reports, oversees financial systems and safeguards the organization's assets.

Participants will serve in a full-time capacity on a team within the Finance function during the 12-month program. Teams may include, but are not limited to:

  • Accounting
  • Financial Planning & Analysis
  • Global Finance Shared Services
  • Revenue Management

Within their role, participants will potentially support the organization in several of the following ways:

  • Review and analyze key account profitability and develop recommendations to improve profitability
  • Develop, analyze, and prepare reporting capabilities to support strategic initiatives
  • Complete financial reporting to support the business
  • Utilize technology to automate financial processes
  • Develop a strategic pricing framework to align business strategy to pricing strategy for the region by country
  • Demonstrate knowledge of financial processes, accounting policies, systems, controls, and work streams

Qualifications:

For consideration in the Cardinal Health Embark Program, you must meet a combination of the following requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field, preferred
  • Expected graduation of winter 2024 or spring 2025, preferred
  • Intermediate/advanced proficiency of Microsoft Excel, preferred
  • Previous internship experience, preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication and analytical skills
  • Participation in extracurricular activities and/or community service
  • Must have unlimited work authorization in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

Anticipated salary range: $55,400 - $79,200
