Engineering Assistant, R&D

Responsibilities

  • Preparing and maintaining laboratory standard operating procedures for all test equipment.
  • Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; perform preventive maintenance and calibration.
  • Preparing test specimens and samples. Conduct parts/product samples testing and evaluation.
  • Set up and testing of exam/surgical glove development activities. Support feasibility studies and compounding, mixing, forming, chlorination, and subsequence activities.
  • Providing reliable and precise data to support scientific or engineering investigations.
  • Oversee the ordering, shipping, storage, use and disposal of chemicals and other materials to ensure safety regulations are followed.
  • Work with indirect procurement team to create purchase order and setting up vendors in vendor management system.
  • Support engineers/ scientists in project activities.
  • Support lab safety and 5S activities.

Requirement

  • Min. qualification – Polytechnic Diploma or ITE in Chemical Engineering, Chemical Technology or related field.
  • Preferably with minimum 3 years of laboratory experience.
  • Proficient in benchmark testing, creating a safe and effective lab environment.
  • Experience with glove development and testing is preferred.
  • Good working attitude, initiative driven and able to work independently
