Director, Supply Chain Product Management

Position Summary

The Director of Supply Chain Product Management for Inventory will envision and execute projects in support of Inventory Management (including CHIME), with the intent to increase unadjusted service level for customers and decrease inventory costs.  This role will develop a high-level business understanding of inventory functional processes and underlying technology, and guide the team to assess new opportunities, prioritize, and in partnership with IT, design, build, and manage new solutions in alignment with inventory management strategic objectives.

This position reports to Sr. Director, Product Management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of product managers focused on delivering and maintaining Inventory management products and systems for Cardinal Health Pharma network, removing roadblocks, developing the team, and aligning with stakeholders.
  • Understand end to end inventory operational processes across planning, purchasing, allocation, and sourcing and guide prioritization of focus areas for the team towards highest value opportunities.
  • Create and execute detailed business plans and document business requirements for upgrading existing platforms, establishing new capabilities, integrating with new platforms, and/or modifying system capabilities to support evolving processes or strategic initiatives.
  • Guide implementation of new Supply Chain planning/Demand Forecasting/Inventory Replenishment system and/or other large-scale technology-enabled projects while maintaining business continuity and leading business process change across the network.
  • Drive team accountability to assess opportunities, prioritize and execute change effectively, in order to successfully meet objectives and key results for the business.
  • Develop and maintain relationships across supply chain and commercial teams
  • Create and manage strategic plans and programs from concept through implementation interacting with multiple organizational levels, partners, and vendors, ensuring big picture understanding of network need, priorities, and impacts within the team as well as with stakeholders.
  • Facilitate appropriate alignment, planning, and budget cycles for Inventory management technology.
  • Guide team to develop and implement metrics/KPIs to measure success.
  • Foster an environment of continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making.
  • Gather, interpret and integrate stakeholder needs, competitive analysis, product analysis, market research, and financial data into coordinated strategies and plans.
  • Work with financial partners to create cost and benefit forecasts and tracking mechanisms to measure and ensure accurate reporting
  • Drive agile methodology in alignment with IT to ensure lean approach to business value
  • Recruit, develop, and manage team of direct reports and people leaders
  • Communicate at executive levels on inventory product and system functionality, roadmaps, and business cases.

           

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
  • 12+ years of experience preferred
  • People leadership experience
  • Experience in inventory technology in an agile environment, product management or product development
  • Experience in supply chain technologies
  • Knowledge of inventory practices and technology to support supply/demand planning

Anticipated salary range: $114,200 - $203,695
