Data Engineer

The Data & Analytics Function oversees the analytics life-cycle in order to identify, analyze and present relevant insights that drive business decisions and anticipate opportunities to achieve a competitive advantage. This function manages analytic data platforms, the access, design and implementation of reporting/business intelligence solutions, and the application of advanced quantitative modeling.

Data Engineering ensures raw data is usable and accessible for the organization. Data Engineering encompasses numerous specialties of data acquisition, integration, and provisioning.
 

Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of experience in related field.
  • Strong desire to solve problems and to learn and improve relentlessly.
  • Excellent organization and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent SQL and PL/SQL coding skills.
  • Proficiency in architecture, design and data modeling.
  • Experience developing against complex, performance critical databases.
  • Experience writing clean code and refactoring existing code bases.
  • Experience with database performance tuning & query optimization.
  • Experience building high quality documentation.
  • BS degree in computer science or related field is required.
  • Good command of the English Language is required.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with Data Warehouse technologies and platforms
  • Experience with SQL Source Control methods and technologies.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies, Git and JIRA.
  • Open-source project contribution.
