Clinical Product Specialist

The role of the Clinical Product Specialist for Cardinal Health Canada is a pivotal one that provides additional value to our customers within the healthcare space. The team environment is creative, fresh and innovative. The successful candidate is responsible for achieving annual sales and profit objectives through the development, maintenance, and enhancement of key customer relationships. The candidate will be working closely with their regional commercial teams to strategically offer educational programs and support to drive additional product adoption and growth of both Cardinal Brand and National branded products. 

This position will be based in Alberta, covering field travel throughout the Provinces of BC/AB/SK/MB. Responsibilities will be focused on key non-hospital strategic channels (incl. LTC/Private Surgical/Indigenous & Homecare), with support for special projects across the continuum of care on an “as-needed” basis.

Your contributions to the organization will be:

  • Executing sales and marketing strategies within the territory, providing education and clinical in-service conversion support to key customers.

  • Completing territory analysis and strategic business planning.

  • Effectively acquiring and communicating appropriate technical, therapeutic, disease state and product information to the customer in order to successfully promote the use of “focused” products in the territory.

  • Planning, coordinating and facilitating educational events as needed.

  • Attending training programs, conventions, and tradeshows.

  • Providing customer support from a clinical perspective for new and existing customers.

  • Conducting effective product presentations to customers as required.

  • Aligning clinical protocols to national guidelines and work with customers and internal partners to customize and provide customer education.

  • Completing reports, plans of action, expense reports, and ongoing education in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • Successful candidate will be physically based in Southern Alberta.

  • Bilingualism in both French and English would be considered a strong asset.

This job might be for you if:

  • Clinical degree such as RN, NP, RPN/LPN required.

  • BSc with minimum 3 years clinical experience in healthcare setting (preferred).

  • Sales and/or Teaching Experience in a clinical setting (strongly preferred).

  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Proficient in CRM system, such as Salesforce.com (strongly preferred).

  • Excellent communication (oral and written), presentation and interpersonal skills.

  • A track record of exceptional performance.

  • Competitive spirit, results driven and team oriented.

  • Must be able to adapt to different work environments.

  • Familiarity with Medical products distribution model.

  • Up to 50% travel requirement. Candidate is expected to travel within their territories of BC, AB, SK and MB

  • Solid clinical background with strong business acumen.

  • Ability to align clinical practices and understanding of our products.
