P1-Analyst-Middleware Integration(Kafka) - Admin

Data Integration services team is part of Customer Experience (CX) Solutions Organization and is responsible for managing multiple integration platforms and integration artifacts across the organization. Team is focused on managing platforms and delivering data movement and data transformation solutions to support business critical operations and analytics.

SPECIFIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Demonstrates expertise in one or more integration technologies (Kafka, Qlik Attunity, Dell Boomi, and IBM DataStage)
  • Knowledge in designing, developing, and successful implementation of enterprise scale integration solutions
  • Knowledge with Google Cloud Platform and other Cloud platforms like AWS.
  • Demonstrates willingness to learn new products/technologies and is an effective team player.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of software development life cycle, modeling of business processes, application design patterns, business/functional documents. Estimates to high level business requirements and provide options analysis.
  • Leverages fluency in technical languages, operating systems, application programming interfaces, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Communicates effectively with various cross functional and technology teams (app dev, deployment, testing, project).
  • Knowledge of software development techniques and fluency in software languages and application programming interfaces.
  • General understanding of hardware/software platforms including but not limited to operating systems, databases, application servers, web servers and integration technologies.
  • Plans and executes system implementations that ensure success and minimize risk of system outages or other negative production impacts.
  • Demonstrates problem solving ability that allows for effective and timely resolution of system issues including but not limited to production outages.
  • Analyzes production system operations using tools such as monitoring, capacity analysis and outage root cause analysis to identify and drive change that ensures continuous improvement in system stability and performance.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of software development, life cycle, modeling of business processes, application design patterns, business/functional documents. Estimates to high level business requirements and provide options analysis.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Qualifications / Skills Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience
  • Overall, 0-2 years of experience in Kafka.
  • 0-2 years of experience working with Kafka Administration.
  • Experience in GKE and Kubernetes with Yamls and deployment experience 
  • Able to handle confluent Kafka environment and troubleshoot issues in cloud and GKE environments.
  • Knowledge or experience in Java PCF (pivotal Cloud Foundry) is a Plus.
  • Knowledge or experience in of JAVA and Springboot is a Plus.
  • 0-1 years working with One of relational databases (MS SQL, Oracle, IBM DB2, SAP HANA, etc.)
  • 1+ years of Cloud experience
  • Knowledge of Code, Configuration and Build management tools such as GIT, Concourse, Ansible and Jenkins is preferred.
  • Ability to Install, Maintain and troubleshoot Kafka.
  • Ability to setup and configure Kafka Brokers.
  • Able to handle certificate upgrades.
  • Able to handle confluent Kafka environment.
  • Knowledge of Agile tools and methodologies
  • Knowledge of software development processes and supporting tools
  • Operating Systems:  Windows and Linux
