Application Development & Maintenance performs configuration or coding to develop, enhance and sustain the organization's software systems in a cross-functional team environment through adherence to established design control processes and good engineering practices. This job family programs and configures end user applications, systems, databases and websites to achieve the organization's internal needs and externally-facing business needs. Application Development & Maintenance partners with business leaders, investigates user needs and conducts regular assessments, maintenance and enhancements of existing applications.
Responsibilities
Act as the primary Planview and Database Specialist for the PMO Tools Team, serving as the subject matter expert for Planview’s data architecture, schema structures, and data integrity.
Execute advanced Planview platform configuration, administration, and system maintenance to support enterprise portfolio management.
Design, implement, and maintain database schemas, tables, views, stored procedures, and indexing strategies that directly support Planview integrations and reporting.
Build, configure, and troubleshoot multi-system integrations and scalable data pipelines connecting Planview to other enterprise systems (e.g., ServiceNow, HR systems).
Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, views, and ETL processes to feed downstream reporting tools (such as Power BI) with high-performing Planview data.
Perform database maintenance and query performance tuning on data warehouses and reporting databases associated with Planview.
Support requirements gathering efforts by partnering with senior team members to translate defined business needs into Planview technical configurations, and assist in the technical onboarding of external teams into the Planview platform.
Champion a collaborative, agile mindset, actively managing and pulling tasks from a shared backlog.
Troubleshoot complex technical database and platform issues, delivering both short- and long-term resolutions.
Qualifications
4-8 years of experience in enterprise application development, Planview administration/configuration, or database development/administration, preferred.
Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
Demonstrated experience configuring and managing Planview applications (e.g., Planview Portfolios, Enterprise, or PPM Solutions), preferred.
Strong Database Developer/DBA skills, including advanced knowledge of database architecture, indexing, partitioning, and transactional replication, preferred
Exceptional database querying skills, with a proven ability to write, debug, and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers against large ERP/PPM databases, preferred
Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), and supporting/optimizing production ETL pipelines, preferred.
Strong proficiency configuring solutions within Planview and the Microsoft Power Suite (Power BI, Power Automate) to build automated data flows and dashboards, preferred
Hands-on experience building, consuming, and troubleshooting APIs (REST/SOAP) to support multi-system integrations, preferred
Solid understanding of PMO methodologies, project portfolio management, and related business processes, preferred.

Anticipated salary range: $94,900.00 - $135,600.00
