Information Technology oversees the effective development, delivery, and operation of computing and information services. This function anticipates, plans, and delivers Information Technology solutions and strategies that enable operations and drive business value.

Application Development & Maintenance performs configuration or coding to develop, enhance and sustain the organization's software systems in a cross-functional team environment through adherence to established design control processes and good engineering practices. This job family programs and configures end user applications, systems, databases and websites to achieve the organization's internal needs and externally-facing business needs. Application Development & Maintenance partners with business leaders, investigates user needs and conducts regular assessments, maintenance and enhancements of existing applications.

Accountabilities in this role

  • Build and maintain effective relationships with business associates in Quality and Regulatory department.
  • Lead requirements elicitation activities and promote the use of existing solution capabilities where appropriate.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, stakeholders, and business teams to clarify requirements, assess risks, and ensure successful solution delivery.
  • Support production incident investigations and validate root cause fixes through testing activities.
  • Identify, document, track, and validate defects, ensuring timely resolution and effective defect management.
  • Validate application changes, bug fixes, and production releases to minimize business and operational risks.

Analytical Skills

  • Analyze business and system requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios and test cases.
  • Interpret test results, defect trends, and quality metrics to support data-driven decisions.
  • Demonstrate strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
  • Perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot issues to identify practical solutions.
  • Utilize advanced Excel skills, including working with large data sets.
  • Support data extraction and data loading activities in collaboration with key business and technical owners.

Testing and Validation

  • Experience planning, executing, and documenting testing activities throughout the SDLC.
  • Proficient in functional, integration, system, regression, UAT, API, database, and end-to-end testing.
  • Skilled in defect identification, tracking, validation, and root cause analysis.
  • Knowledge of test automation tools, frameworks, and QA best practices.
  • Ability to validate application changes, releases, and production fixes with a strong focus on quality and accuracy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of experience as an IT developer/systems analyst in a corporate environment
  • Proven experience working on IT projects with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong listening, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Good understanding of SDLC, Waterfall, and Agile methodologies.

    • SQL
    • Web Services / REST APIs, and API Testing Tools (Postman)
    • Test Management and Defect Tracking Tools (Jira)
    • SDLC, STLC, Waterfall, and Agile Methodologies
    • IT Service Management System
  • Preferred Technical Exposure:
    • Jenkins (CI/CD)
    • Git/SVN
    • ServiceNow
    • Cloud Platforms (AWS, GCP, PCF)
  • Application Familiarity:
    • Understanding of applications built using Java, Angular, and Spring MVC to support testing, troubleshooting, and collaboration with development teams.
  • Optional/Nice to Have:
    • Experience in Test Automation
    • Basic understanding of full-stack application architecture and development concepts.
