What External Reporting contributes to Cardinal Health
Finance oversees the accounting, tax, financial plans and policies of the organization, establishes and maintains fiscal controls, prepares and interprets financial reports, oversees financial systems and safeguards the organization's assets.
External Reporting is responsible for the preparation and review of financial information to be released outside of the organization such as to the SEC, international statutory regulators and other organizations as well as for the research, interpretation, and communication of related accounting matters.
Responsibilities
- Provides accounting guidance to business partners related to proposed transactions to ensure conformity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) as well as company policies and procedures.
- Conducts research regarding the impact to financial statements of potential changes to accounting rules proposed by accounting standards setters and advises management regarding the same.
- Ensures all SEC reports and disclosures comply with applicable government regulations, professional standards, and organizational policies.
- Prepares and reviews consolidated financial statements and all other required disclosures to maintain compliance with the SEC and GAAP.
- Oversees the month-end close lease accounting process.
- Supports annual and interim goodwill impairment testing and related disclosures.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree preferred in related field, or equivalent work, preferred
- 3+ years of public or corporate accounting experience, preferred
- CPA preferred

Anticipated salary range: $80,900-$115,500
