What Operations Maintenance contributes to Cardinal Health

Oversees and coordinates the development of corrective and preventive maintenance for the plant.
Provides support with preventive and corrective maintenance of production machinery and equipment.
Supervises the General Technician, Building Maintenance Technician, and Electromechanical Technician.
Ensures compliance with the Quality System applicable to Maintenance.
Supports our LRTS system and coordinates the building's preventive and corrective maintenance program.
Oversees the development of preventive and corrective maintenance for production machinery and equipment, as well as for the plant as a whole.
Manages spare parts control by maintaining maximum and minimum stock levels according to equipment needs.
Maintains and updates the Quality System applicable to the department.
Complies with and supports Safety and Environmental programs.
Reports accidents and near misses, and collaborates to achieve Safety goals: LTA's, LTD, and OSAHAS.
Participates in permanent work teams.
Supports compliance with the Quality System and initiatives. Comply with the company's ethics policy and the FCPA.
Promote and disseminate Cardinal Health's values.
Actively support the team as a TPM Star Pointer.
Comply with quality policies.
Attend all quality system training sessions on time and in full, on any applicable platform.
 

Qualifications

  • Manufacturing processes for packaging equipment, plastic materials, laminates, seals, or forms.
  • PLC programming, modules, and drivers.
  • Understanding of electrical, electronic, and digital circuits.
  • Maintenance programs (preventive, corrective, and predictive).
  • Knowledge of hydraulic systems and power generators.
  • Project management with White, Yellow, or Green Belt certifications.
  • Education: Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical.
  • Engineering, or related fields.
  • English: advanced, required.


What is expected of you and others at this level

Verify that all employees understand both emergency procedures and hazard reporting procedures.
Responsible for ensuring that employees are familiar with EHS procedures and policies specific to their area, e.g., PPE requirements, emergency response procedures, etc.

Communicate and implement EHS activities in support of the objectives and goals of the annual EHS plan.
Demonstrate EHS leadership by participating in EHS Kaizen events, leading incident investigation teams, participating in EHS internal inspections and audits, and ensuring effective EHS training is delivered.
Communicate outstanding EHS issues and the status of goals.
Encourage employees to become involved in EHS activities.
Follow up on employee EHS concerns until issues are resolved.
Implement and enforce EHS procedures and policies uniformly and consistently.
Hold direct reports accountable for EHS performance.
Measure employee performance and commend them for positive EHS conduct and results.
Immediately guide and counsel employees who engage in risky behavior.
Celebrate success as EHS goals are achieved or actions are taken.
Roles:
Require all EHS procedures and policies must be enforced uniformly and consistently.
Require EHS review for new or modified processes, procedures, or contractor work.
Stop work if an employee or contractor performing the work is at risk of serious injury or an environmental incident.
Require that disciplinary action be taken in accordance with internal policies when EHS procedures are not followed.
