This full-time position has an anticipated hourly pay range of $23.00 per hour – $25.30 per hour

Responsibilities  

  • Rooms patients and accurately collects and records patients’ medical history; including vital statistics, allergies, medications and concerns.  

  • Prepares treatment room, stocks and maintains supplies and equipment, keeping the rooms neat and clean.  

  • Prepares procedural area and assists with treatments including bone marrow biopsy specific to the provider’s direction.  

  • Assists with scheduling routine appointments and check out procedures.  

  • Prepares bone marrow specific to the physician’s direction, and anticipates needs of the provider, and other providers.  

  • Addresses patients with a compassionate, friendly and caring attitude.  

  • Consistently maintains and updates medication knowledge, staying current with industry trends and standards, attends in-services internal or external.  

  • Prepares and administers medications as directed by provider and in accordance with cCARE policies and procedures.  

  • Requests insurance authorizations and schedule appointments for STAT procedures including but not limited to blood transfusion, paracentesis, thoracentesis and brain MRIs.  

  • Documents receipt, assists with ensures completion of disability and other miscellaneous forms/ letters in a timely manner 

  • Effectively assists with E-Prescribing, authorizing drug refills and physician and Physician Dispensing.  

  • Triages phone calls and routes and relays information in a timely manner to staff and providers in a timely manner 

  • Daily review and processing of voicemails, reminders, and emails.  

Qualifications 

  • Medical Assistant diploma required

  • Current CPR/BLS

  • Fluent in Spanish, highly preferred

  • Medical Assistant experience required
