Information Technology oversees the effective development, delivery, and operation of computing and information services. This function anticipates, plans, and delivers Information Technology ERP solutions and strategies that enable operations and drive business value.

Application Development & Maintenance performs configuration or coding to develop, enhance and sustain the organization's software systems in a cross-functional team environment through adherence to established design control processes and good engineering practices. This job family programs and configures end user applications, systems, databases and websites to achieve the organization's internal needs and externally-facing business needs. Application Development & Maintenance partners with business leaders, investigates user needs and conducts regular assessments, maintenance and enhancements of existing applications.

The Manager, ERP Application Development and Maintenance, will lead global software development teams composed of technical leaders and developers. This team is responsible for delivering high quality ERP software solutions that support a multi-year Supply Chain modernization initiative. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of modern digital technologies and industry trends, along with proven experience guiding large onshore and offshore development teams. This role will drive planning, prioritization, and execution in an agile environment with a strong focus on quality, performance, and delivery efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the long-term vision and roadmap for business systems platforms, including ERP and related systems, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices.
  • Provide technical leadership and oversight across the ERP development teams, ensuring adherence to best practices in architecture, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Partner with Product Owners, Project Managers, and crossfunctional business/technical stakeholders to deliver weekly or biweekly progress updates. Develop and drive action plans that improve focus, ensure the right priorities, and align team execution to program timelines.
  • Champion code quality, development governance, and modern engineering practices. Demonstrate strong familiarity with design patterns, APIdriven architectures, microservices, and modern frontend frameworks.
  • Collaborate with business partners and stakeholders to define the product roadmap, prioritize work, and maintain a refined, actionable backlog for development teams.
  • Oversee solution design, build execution, and delivery processes. Establish KPIs to measure developer productivity, quality and ensure robust governance checkpoints for design reviews and code reviews that meet CAH standards.
  • Continuously assess team workload and priorities. Apply strong project and financial management skills to plan effectively and adapt to evolving program needs, adjusting staffing, scope, and priorities as required.
  • Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, audit, and nonfunctional requirements. Work closely with business teams and crossfunctional IT groups to maintain alignment. Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools—such as Dynatrace or similar is required.

Qualifications

  • 8-12 years of experience, preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
  • Experience with Life Sciences Manufacturing Systems, such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Manufacturing Execution System (MES), Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), Product Labeling Systems, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), and related platforms, preferred
  • Background in Life Sciences Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, R&D, preferred
  • Strong project leadership capabilities, including managing timelines, risks, and deliverables.
  • Proven experience leading projects or workstreams, including planning, requirements gathering, stakeholder coordination, execution oversight, and post-implementation support, preferred

Anticipated salary range: $123,400 - $193,930
