What Application Development & Maintenance contributes to Cardinal Health
Information Technology oversees the effective development, delivery, and operation of computing and information services. This function anticipates, plans, and delivers Information Technology solutions and strategies that enable operations and drive business value.
Application Development & Maintenance performs configuration or coding to develop, enhance and sustain the organization's software systems in a cross-functional team environment through adherence to established design control processes and good engineering practices. This job family programs and configures end user applications, systems, databases and websites to achieve the organization's internal needs and externally-facing business needs. Application Development & Maintenance partners with business leaders, investigates user needs and conducts regular assessments, maintenance and enhancements of existing applications.
Qualifications & Responsibilities:
- Bachelor’s Degree with equivalent experience
- Minimum 10 years of IT and 6 years of hands-on experience in SAP ecosystem with extensive knowledge in Rebates & Incentives Vistex functionality
- Knowledge in IP document setup and/or Calculation Buckets and its integration with SD and Finance modules, ensuring end-to-end process alignment
- Experience with configuring Pricing components including Condition Tables, Condition Types, Access Sequences, Pricing Procedures, Condition Records, and Pricing Routines to support business pricing strategies
- Proven experience collaborating with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, translating them into technical specifications and functional designs
- Proven record of accomplishment of leading development on SAP S/4 HANA and other major SAP implementation projects
- Strong knowledge of advanced technologies in SAP and automation
- Knowledge in developing and enhancing custom ABAP programs using modern ABAP syntax in an S/4HANA environment, adhering to best practices and performance standards
- Experience with RICEF objects development, CDS Views, AMDPs, and OData services to support Fiori applications and business process automation
- Experience in RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP), Eclipse-based ABAP Development Tools (ADT) for development and debugging
- Experience troubleshooting across functional and technical layers
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Expertise in change management and user adoption strategies

- Leverage S/4HANA capabilities, including FIORI apps, Advanced Pricing, and embedded analytics, to optimize pricing and contract processes
- Analyze business requirements and design SAP S/4HANA solutions for pricing, contracts and rebates, including complex pricing models and contract workflows
- Configure and implement pricing procedures, condition types, access sequences, and rebate management
- Develop and manage contract templates, agreement types, and workflows in S/4HANA
- Ensure seamless integration of pricing and contracts with other SAP modules (SD, MM, FI/CO) and third-party systems
- Explore and drive technical change and innovation in SAP including exploring S/4, RISE and BTP
- Support the integration with other applications like EDI/Vendavo/etc. related to Pricing and RNI area
- Collaborate cross-functionally with BASIS, ABAP, infrastructure, architecture, and cross-functional leaders to achieve results
- Documents and manages SOPs for software and information platform systems
- Ensure all critical RNI processes are properly monitored and alerted and automate recurrent incidents
- Closely follows the strategic direction set by the segment and executes on priority goals
- Closely work with infrastructure teams to ensure a reliable and stable operations
- Complies and enforce adoption of Solution Manager, Charm Management, HP ALM and other standard tools
- Responsible for the KPI's and BPM metrics that support current and future Pharma business units on SAP
