What General Management contributes to Cardinal Health
The Brazil General Manager will be responsible for leading the local commercial enterprise, including but not limited to business strategy, business development, and full accountability for the P&L. This role will coordinate supporting functions to ensure alignment with business growth objectives and global and regional strategies, in accordance with regulatory, compliance, and corporate policies, as well as local regulations and practices. The General Manager is a business leader with a strong emphasis on commercial strategy and execution, accelerating sales growth, and developing go-to-market strategies, including key account management and channel development.
Accountabilities
• Own and manage full country P&L, ensuring sustainable profitable growth
• Develop business go to market strategy and lead tactical commercial execution Develop sales forecasts, performance reports, and corrective action plans.
• Manage and optimize commercial budgets and investments.
• Define pricing, portfolio, and market share growth strategies.
• Analyze business performance and adjust strategy based on market dynamics.
• Lead country commercial performance, ensuring achievement of sales, growth, and profitability targets.
• Develop and execute strategic sales and marketing plans aligned with corporate objectives.
• Actively manage distributors and channel partners to optimize performance and market coverage.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, stakeholders, and strategic partners.
• Participate directly in key negotiations, major deals, and contract closures.
• Identify and drive new business opportunities, market expansion, and customer acquisition.
• Align country strategy with regional and global objectives.
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies and local regulations.
• Provide market insights to contribute to regional strategic decisions.
• Work in conjunction with functional areas to manage working capital metrics (AR and inventories)
Leadership
Lead, coach, and develop the commercial team, setting clear goals and expectations.
Ensure alignment across cross-functional teams (Marketing, Operations, Finance) and regional and global stakeholders
Foster a collaborative, high-performance and result-driven culture.
Ensures that cross-functional teams are fully aligned to ensure that the sales strategic plans for the market are developed and implemented successfully.
Develops succession planning initiatives and works to develop high potential employees by fostering developmental growth and opportunities.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
10+ yrs commercial experience with solid sales and channel exposure.
7+ years of leadership experience managing commercial teams, in medical device or pharmaceutical industries
Advance English proficiency. Advance Spanish proficiency is a plus.
Proven solid direct and indirect sales business model experience
Proven track record managing full P&L responsibilities
Strong executive presence
