Corporate Project Engineer

Corporate Project Engineering contributes to Cardinal Health

Corporate Engineering is responsible for providing technical leadership and strategic support across the organization’s manufacturing and operational sites. The department drives engineering standards, capital projects, innovation, process optimization and long-term operational improvements aligned with business objectives.

The Corporate Project Engineer acts as a bridge between corporate strategy and plant execution, ensuring that projects are implemented consistently, efficiently, and in compliance with industry regulations.

This role requires strong project management skills, technical problem-solving abilities, effective communication and the capability to work in a fast-paced, regulated environment with multiple stakeholders. Works within the constraints of budget, schedule and scope while managing risk, aligning stakeholders and ensuring adherence to established processes and methodologies. May execute process validations.

Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience in medical device industry
  • Experience in validations (IQ/OQ/PQ/TMV preferred)
  • Desirable experience in process transfers and equipment qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
  • Advanced English level (written and verbal communication)
  • Experience working with cross-functional and multicultural teams
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and risk management tools
  • Experience with Minitab, statistical analysis and continuous improvement tools is a plus
  • Knowledge of GMP, GDP and regulatory requirements within the medical device industry
  • Oracle or ERP system experience is a plus
  • US Visa, required

What is expected of you and others at this level

  • Support projects across multiple manufacturing sites
  • Coordinate activities between manufacturing, quality, supply chain, validation, Regulatory affairs and external vendors
  • Ensure projects comply with regulatory and quality standards
  • Support process improvements focused on efficiency, quality and cost reduction
  • Develop project timelines, risk assessments and status reports to leadership
  • Manage equipment installation, process transfers and automation initiatives
  • Support change control, validation documentation and engineering documentation updates
  • Communicate project progress and technical information effectively to stakeholders at all organization levels
  • Lead and support cross-functional project meetings and action item follow-up
  • Identify project risks, escalation points and mitigation plans
  • Collaborate with site engineering teams to standardize processes and engineering practices
  • Support implementation of continuous improvement initiatives using Lean methodologies
  • Track project deliverables, milestones and budget performance
  • Provide technical support during audits, inspections and compliance activities
  • Ensure proper documentation and adherence to internal engineering procedures and quality systems.
