Warehouse Associate II (2nd shift - Dock Worker)

What Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health

Warehouse Dock Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of:

  • Receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc.

Requirements and expectations include but are not limited to:

  • 6 months of prior dock experience
  • Must be able to consistently lift up to 55 pounds for a minimum of 8 hours
  • Must have experience handling and using shrink wrap (pallet wrap),
  • Prior experience building 6 to 7 foot tall pallets
  • Ability to differentiate addresses
  • Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers.

Schedule and Pay

  • Sunday - Thursday, 2pm start time to completion of tasks
  • $15.50/hour + $1.50/hour shift differential

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED preferred
  • Good written communication skills 
  • 1-2 years experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft office preferred
  • 6 Months of Prior PIT experience
  • 6 months of prior Dock experience
  • (Preferred) Prior Logistics work experience
  • Readily learns and applies new skills to complete standard tasks

  • Works within clearly defined standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods

  • Work typically involves regular review of output by work lead or supervisor
  • Refers complex unusual problems to supervisor
