What Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health

Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers.

Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 11:00am to 9:30pm

Responsibilities

  • Makes decisions that impact the downstream customer, the products that we service have a variety of uses to include, patient and life impacting medication.
  • Actively fosters relationships with direct reports that bring value to the company, encouraging the participation and perspectives of all team members, regardless of background; mentors and empowers others to achieve success.

  • Administers and executes policies and procedures equally to maintain accountability, ensuring employees operate within guidelines established in the Quality Policy and standard operating procedures.
  • Hold staff accountable for conducting work pertaining to Cardinal Health’s Safety Guidelines and ensure that warehouse personnel have safe, efficient equipment to perform daily functions and provide support for a culture that strives toward continuous improvement in Environmental, Health and Safety.
  • Responsible for compliance and regulations concerning OSHA, DEA, FDA, ISO and state/local authorities; adherence to cGMP guidelines.
  • Interview and Hire applicants that have the same values as Cardinal Health (Integrity, Inclusive, Innovative, Accountable and Mission Driven)
  • Recognizes unnecessary workflow steps and identifies synergies among processes to work towards improving processes.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma strongly preferred, college degree is a plus
  • 2-4 years related experience preferred
  • Ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift, and stand for entire shift
  • Strong communication skills
  • Leadership skills
  • Understanding of Lean principles preferred
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred

Anticipated salary range: $66,500 - $94,900
