What Data Governance contributes to Cardinal Health

Data Governance is responsible for the disciplined execution of governance programs and practices across all data.

  • Applies knowledge and ability to define and/or operate against the vision/strategy of data and governance.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of data governance modeling, tools, and practices.
  • Identifies and manages data quality in alignment with the needs of the business and/or industry.
  • Ensures complete protection of data with all policies as it relates to visibility and distribution.
  • Identifies and communicates insights and potential upstream/downstream impacts and opportunities to customers, business and/or enterprise leaders.
  • Exemplifies effective communication and change management skills to varying audiences.

Accountabilities in this role

  • Own and maintain Listings Exclusions and Inclusions (LEI) master data in SAP for PD
  • Set up eligibility criteria for new products based on guidelines from Sourcing
  • Maintain customer eligibility rules based on guidelines from manufacturers
  • Define the future state process to maintain LEI and update process documents to enable efficiencies
  • Look for automation opportunities while defining the LEI process
  • Build partnerships with up and downstream teams that we interact with (Customer Master, Product Master, Sourcing, Customer Service, Governance)
  • Support daily onboarding questions and escalations from our TCS partners

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
  • 2+ years experience in related field preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and accountability to work independently
  • Looks to continuously improve processes
  • Comfortable analyzing complex data
  • Proficient in Excel
  • SAP experience a plus
