What Supplier Quality contributes to Cardinal Health

Quality develops and implements quality policies, procedures, and processes to ensure products and services comply with regulatory standards and specifications.

Supplier Quality is responsible for managing external suppliers throughout the product lifecycle, including evaluating and qualifying suppliers, monitoring supplier performance, auditing supplier's quality management system to applicable regulations and quality standards, providing metrics, and addressing quality and regulatory issues.

Responsibilities

  • Perform incoming inspection sampling and testing on raw materials

  • Create and maintain controlled documents as required

  • Communicate, investigate, and follow up with suppliers related to raw material nonconformances

  • Track and maintain supplier files, Approved Supplier List maintenance, and supplier change requests

  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory standards for medical device industry

Qualifications

  • 3-6 years of experience of quality control/quality assurance, preferred

  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent work experience preferred

  • Prior experience in a cGMP environment, preferred

What is expected of you and others at this level

  • Effectively applies knowledge of job and company policies and procedures to complete a variety of assignments

  • Knowledge of metrology (measuring systems such as calibrated ruler, calipers, thickness gauge, etc.)

  • Applies advanced skills to resolve complex problems independently

  • Works independently within established procedures; may receive general guidance on new assignments

  • May provide general guidance or technical assistance to less experienced team members

  • Computer skills with MS Word and Excel

  • Knowledge of controlled supplier changes, raw material specifications, and supplier quality agreements is preferred

  • Ability to comfortably position self to stoop, crouch, walk, stand as needed

Anticipated hourly range: $18.70 per hour - $28.03 per hour

The hourly range listed is an estimate. Pay at Cardinal Health is determined by multiple factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s geographical location, relevant education, experience and skills and an evaluation of internal pay equity.
