Sr. Analyst, Inside Sales - Account Management

The Account Manager/Senior Analyst is responsible for strengthening strategic business partnerships nationally.  They’re tasked with increasing business with current customers while actively collaborating with multiple internal and external stakeholders, particularly with our team of National Account Executives, credit collections, pricing and contracts, account set-up and implementation, customers service, inventory management and sourcing, finance, our teams in the warehouse and our manufacturing partners.  


  • Accountable for reaching or exceeding sales, financial and strategic goals
  • Responsible for driving CAH SPD’s growth through flawless execution of sales strategies
  • Experience in navigating and leading the sales efforts after identifying potential opportunities
  • Develop and manage strategic clients nationally to deliver sustainable growth
  • Effectively learn and articulate CAH SPD’s value proposition to maximize profitability
  • Present CAH SPD’s complete suite of services to create customer value and optimize efficiencies
  • Trigger sales by increasing customer access to life-saving biotherapies
  • Assist customers achieve pull-through goals and deliver strong results monthly
  • Differentiate offer from that of our competitors and help providers improve patient outcomes
  • Plan and direct business activities to attain volume objectives and manufacturer mix


  • Analyze territory daily and selectively target market expansion
  • Identify buy-side and sell-side market-driven trends
  • Uncover customer’s purchasing behavior and follow buying patterns to customize the best offer
  • Convey results-driven, impactful solutions to every audience
  • Research and prepare prior to reaching out to customers 
  • Drive the thought process through a consultative sales approach
  • Invest time on educating self on the scale of the Cardinal Health offer (Pharma & Medical segments)
  • Assess all situations with a high level of emotional intelligence; focus and execute every time

Industry and Market:

  • Capture relevant intelligence about the biotherapies offered in our portfolio via manufacturer-led educational sessions (In-Services), the media, trade-shows, professional forums, and customer provided insights.
  • Monitor biotech industry developments that may affect the market up or down.
  • Acquire above-average understanding of the healthcare segment drivers; legislation, innovation, economies of scale, financial markets, and disruptors.
  • Act as an information source that provides actionable market intelligence enterprise-wide
  • Must become a subject matter expert on every competitor in our space

Process management:

  • Support the efforts of all internal partners while exploring every opportunity that contributes to the growth of our business unit and share best practices
  • Provide the Finance Team with all of the required information to build ROCC model programs and evaluate opportunities
  • Establish and foster relationships with manufacturing partners, assist in coordinating customer access
  • Manage customer issues by assigning those to the appropriate resolution channels; Customer Service, Finance, Pricing Research, or the Contracts Department. (escalate when needed)
  • Establish contacts with key cross-functional areas (shared-services groups) within the organization
