Job Summary
The Senior Associate, Warehouse Operations applies broad knowledge to ensure the integrity, quality, and accuracy of the facility’s operations, which can include but is not assisting with QIC tasks (cycle counts, returns), hold new hire orientation and complete monthly training requirements, resolving inbound and outbound discrepancies, purchasing supplies, ensuring timely delivery of inbound and outbound containers and assisting in the transportation office. The Senior Associate executes the facility’s standard operating procedures (SOPs) and responds effectively to routine and complex issues.
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of warehouse experience preferred
- High School Diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred
- Shipping / Receiving Clerk Experience preferred
- Good Written and Verbal Communication Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)
- Automated or RF warehouse experience preferred
- Must take a MHE training class to administer equipment certifications to employees
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- 4-6 years warehouse training experience
- Lean Six Sigma knowledge
What is expected of you and others at this level.
- Provides training for individual or group settings to new hires as well as tenured employees (i.e., order selectors, loader, auditors, etc. new Employee, elevate training, cross training, quality training)
- Coaches, counsels, and inspires employees to not only meet but exceed required production goals.
- Functions as a general warehouse team member within the department and performs other duties as assigned when not training
- Conducts skill needs assessments to identify specific skill/knowledge gaps, training objectives, work situations and changes in training policies and procedures.
- Reviews and optimizes customer orders in WMS before releasing orders to warehouse for picking. Optimization includes consideration for order weight, cube and transportation route density.
- Works with Transportation Consultants and Carriers to confirm routes, driver availability and their hours of service, along with equipment availability.
- Train and document all MHE training for entire building
- Serves as a resource to other team members, instructs Associates on complex picking, put-away, and replenishment tasks to maximize inventory accuracy, is flexible to support daily operational needs. May assist in occasional warehouse audits by providing reporting and answering questions related to inventory control procedures, as necessary.
