Senior Engineer - Manufacturing


  • Ensures compliance with all local government and company regulations and requirements pertaining to industrial manufacturing
  • Directs a team of engineers in acquisition, improvement, implementation, and support of industrial manufacturing processes designed to promote lean manufacturing, demand flow, work efficiency and cost savings
  • Manages projects associated with industrial design, new facility layouts, facility upgrades, and design and installation of new production and material handling equipment, process improvements, cost containments, yield improvements, and scrap reduction
  • Ensures the development of metrology programs according to regulations
  • Oversees implementation to guarantee that instrumentation equipment is properly and adequately calibrated
  • Develops industrial engineers and technicians as strong contributing members of extended product development teams and promotes design manufacturability and other relevant industrial manufacturing or operational philosophies
  • Ensures and/or refines the cost estimating process in manufacturing engineering
  • Oversees the development and justification of capital expenditures
  • Provides forecasts for the development and coordinate
  • Interviews, hires, and trains employees
  • Plans, assigns, and directs work
  • Appraises performance, rewards and disciplines employees, addresses complaints and resolves problems
  • Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level
  • Responsible for ensuring subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition
  • Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Performs other duties assigned as needed


  • University/Bachelors Degree or Equivalent
  • Generally requires (8-10) years related experience; or
  • MS in relevant discipline and 4 or more years of related engineering experience; or
  • Ph.D. in relevant discipline and 1 or more years of related engineering experience
  • Has significant complex level engineering experience
  • Experience in the medical device industry would be preferred


  • Must possess a clear mastery of theoretical and practical fundamentals and experimental engineering techniques
  • English communication skills, written and oral
