Region Director, Sales & Service

OptiFreight® Logistics is an undisputed industry leader in delivering savings via third-party freight management.  Annually, OptiFreight® manages over 20 million shipments for over 2,000 customers, generating collective savings of $535M. OptiFreight® has begun to expand our footprint to incorporate Same Day / Courier as well as other modalities of transportation management.   Our goal is to offer full suite transportation management to cover ALL transportation needs of healthcare providers.   Our proven methods and innovation have led to unique volume-driving capabilities to that support the ability to drive capture and mange more shipments and freight spend than anyone in this space.   Ultimately, our ability to deliver value comes through people (highly consultative), scale (breadth of experience and shipments managed), and insights (data driven actions that lead to value).

Reporting to the National Vice President of Sales & Services and serving as a member of the Senior Leadership Team, this position leads one third of US for OptiFreight in the Acute marketplace.  The role has ownership for a team of ~15-20 individuals including Region Managers who in turn lead Territory/Account Managers as well as direct leadership of Business Development Specialists and Strategic Account Managers in the West.  This team is accountable for retention and growth of current customers as well as securing net new customers in all areas of services and solutions including small parcel (inbound/outbound), Large Freight, Same Day Courier, Regional Parcel, and Mail Solutions.   Key contact points with customers include Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, Laboratory, Pharmacy, Homecare and several others.

Accountabilities in this role

  • Lead a Business Development Selling Executives, representing a territory of approximately 35% of the country comprised of acute facilities (inclusive off all acute sites of care).
  • Lead two Region Managers, each in-turn leading a team of five to six Territory/Account Managers.
  • Lead a Strategic Account Manager, who owns strategy for 3-5 large, complex customers.
  • Develop and expand direct relationships with largest strategic customers.
  • Drive discipline to organization involving selling process inclusive of the Customer Buying Journey, SFDC discipline, and adherence to territory management standards.
  • Actively participate in leadership of design and execution of OptiFreight’s strategic priorities.
  • Demonstrate strong financial acumen including command of financial deal modeling and contracting processes.
  • Mentor and develop Sales Executive and Leadership talent.
  • Partner with peer leadership constituents in Cardinal and with other industry entities including GPO’s, Consultants, Carriers to drive retention, growth, and total transportation management strategy with customers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required, graduate degree preferred.
  • Demonstrate advance knowledge of CAH and customer industry (e.g., key competitors, influencers, trends, challenges).
  • Comprehensive communication and negotiating skills adept at all levels of C-suite provider leadership (Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Clinical -Pharmacy / Laboratory).
  • Demonstrate strong leadership development skills and proven track record of successful talent management (hiring, development, performance management, promotion, etc).
  • Strong financial and strategic acumen.
  • Minimum of 10 years healthcare consultative sales experience and previous leadership experience.
  • Ability to travel 50% of time.
  • Excellent planning, forecasting, negotiation and presentation skills
