What a Purchasing Specialist contributes to Cardinal Health?
The Purchasing Specialist manages supplier/payee information so that company can function efficiently and effectively. This position is responsible of setting up and maintaining accurate supplier/payee profiles in the SAP system in accordance with Supplier Data Management standards within set service level agreement and is critical to the company’s financial information and management reporting. Role will liaise with the vendors, accounts payable team, buy now team, IT/Project team and the management to develop an excellent working relationship within the organization.
Qualifications
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree in Business Administration or any related field.
- SAP and Macro experience are a definite advantage
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office platforms (Word, Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint and Teams) required
- Must have an excellent skill in coordination, communication, presentation, organization and problem solving
- Keen attention to details
- Amenable to work on night shift (8:00 PM to 5:00AM PHL time)
- Willing to work on a hybrid schedule
** Internal candidates have to be in B3/B4/P1 or at least 1 year in current tenure plus Achieved on most recent Performance Appraisal to be eligible to apply for this role.
What is expected of you and others at this level?
- Supplier/payee data ownership and accountability on accurate setting up and maintaining vendor records in SAP according to request within set SLA.
- Conducts verification call to suppliers to ensure that the information being provided is correct and valid.
- Assure that due diligence is performed while gathering or securing information from the requestor.
- Maintain adherence to supplier data process standards and internal audit requirements.
- Assist in the resolution of data quality problems through appropriate correction.
- Collaborate with the suppliers as well as the business to ensure that supplier data procedures are aligned and enhance operational efficiency.
- Daily productivity must be provided on time to support KPI analysis.
- Support ad hoc requirements and various projects handed to the team.
