Product Manager, Surgical Gloves

The Global Commercial Enablement Manager is Responsible for the creation and optimization of the brand, product line messaging, and value proposition for the global surgical gloves business while ensuring consistency across all geographies.

Provides strategic guidance and content recommendations to all Regional Marketing teams globally looking to develop content or campaigns, but once the strategy is set, execution of the content and assets are managed by the respective regional teams. Has responsibility for identifying desired claims and messaging platforms around new product launches and obtaining substantiation and approval for use on packaging and other launch collateral. Collaborates closely with Medical Affairs, Digital Marketing, Sales Training and Sales Enablement, Customer Engagement, R&D, Legal, and Regulatory teams. Works hand-in-hand with upstream portfolio and product managers and downstream regional marketers on a daily basis.

Daily Responsibilities of the Global Commercial Enablement Manager

  • Manage brand and product messaging and positioning
  • Enhance each region’s go-to-market strategies and provide strategic recommendations on marketing toolkit and execution strategy                            
  • Work with Global Portfolio Manager to develop and organize commercialization plans
  • Materialize Global Portfolio Manager’s value proposition and ensure it aligns with overall surgical gloves value proposition and messaging (new product launch, market expansion, clinical messaging campaign, etc.)
  • Work with Global Portfolio Manager and Regional Marketing to understand training needs of new product launches and to define training curriculum and resource requirements. Not responsible for actual training.
  • Working with Regional Marketing and upstream Global Product Manager to understand barriers to success for existing technologies and to manage and prioritize working list.                              
  • Help determine resources required to have commercial success in region targeted for expansion by working closely with in-region marketing.
  • Working closely with Med Affairs & in-region teams on managing and maintaining KOL community and generating new clinical evidence as needed
  • Collaborates with Global Regional Marketing partners to aggregate marketing plans in order to identify priorities for each region, alignment with GBU strategy, and identify where BU and cross functional support is needed. This effort will play into the annual SG&A budget process
  • Manages marketing budget for surgical gloves and other product businesses under VP of Marketing

General Accountabilities of Product Management

  • Manage the global revenue/profit for product lines within a product portfolio.
  • Develop the global product strategy for the product line(s), working with both regional and Channel Marketing leaders.
  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge of marketing and product management disciplines necessary for building business plans, product plans, and marketing plans.
  • Utilize market trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning to develop preferred product offerings for targeted segments and channels.
  • Understand methods available to execute primary research that are necessary to drive product line/portfolio decisions.
  • Can identify market opportunities through primary and secondary market research and take action by implementing and managing solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Identify and remain current on market trends. Determine product lifecycle implications and make decisions to drive market competitiveness and to achieve sustainable economic success.
  • Translate market and customer needs across multiple regions and channels into clearly defined product requirements and product line strategy.
  • Ensure that all promotional, launch, and marketing activities align with the overall portfolio strategy and facilitate proper communication and collaboration with all applicable marketing resources across regions and channels.
  • Demonstrate strong financial acumen and logical decision making in the general business environment. Understand and demonstrate sound thought processes as it relates to business cases, investment requests, forecasting, pricing, deal structures, and assessing strategic options.
  • Strong ability to influence and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including R&D, sourcing, manufacturing, enterprise marketing, enterprise contracting, strategic pricing, customer service, DMG, finance, quality, regulatory, legal, inventory, regional and channel teams, and others. · Serve as an effective and inspirational leader to the product management team and cross-functional teams supporting product management.
  • Take informed risk and be biased toward action.

  • Bachelors degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred.
  • 4+ years experience in related field, preferred.
  • Proficient with MS Office Applications
