What Quality Compliance contributes to Cardinal Health

Quality Compliance is responsible for the development and deployment of policies, procedures and programs designed to minimize risk, enable compliant business operations, products and services and drive uncompromised supply chain integrity.



  • Travel required for routine customer visits in the Nebraska region, including some overnight stays.

  • Ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.

  • Evaluation and/or calibration of radiation safety equipment used with radioactive materials.

  • Evaluation of radiological equipment to assess compliance with state and/or national standards.

  • Evaluation of radiological imaging procedures to advise on patient dose reduction.

  • Assist facilities with the development and/or updating of policies and procedures pertaining to the use of radioactive materials and radiological imaging procedures.

  • Assist facilities with obtaining and ongoing compliance with American College of Radiology and Joint Commissions.

  • Consultation to healthcare facilities regarding compliance with radioactive materials licenses and applicable state and/or federal regulations.

  • Assist facilities with preparation of radioactive materials licenses and license amendment requests.

  • Assist facilities with interactions with regulatory agencies regarding radioactive materials and radiation producing machines.

  • Complete radiation safety audits and ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) reviews as required.

  • Collect and analyze wipe samples from the sealed sources used and/or stored within the facility to determine if any source is leaking.

  • Conduct group and individual training sessions; documents training activities as required.  Maintains reference library for radiation protection.

  • Provide customer survey meter calibration and other radiation safety services as required by the customer RAM License.

  • Contact new customers and markets concerning the health physics program to expand customer base.

  • Performs other job-related duties as requested and works effectively with other team members to ensure the goals and objectives of the department are met.


  • Bachelors Degree in Health Physics or related field preferred

  • 4+ years of experience in related field or Nuclear Medicine Technology, preferred

  • Draws on best practices and comprehensive technical knowledge to advise customers.

  • Tracks internal trends and suggests process improvements based on observations

  • Ability to track finances

  • Good professional writing skills

  • Versed in Microsoft Office application

A Covid-19 vaccination is required in order to be employed in this position. This includes either: 

2 doses of the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine

1 dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine
