JavaScript Software Engineer - TelePharm

What is TelePharm?

Innovation drives growth, so it’s no wonder why TelePharm is growing quickly — and hiring. Our goal is to bring pharmacy services to those that need it. To accomplish this, we use web technologies to sync pharmacy workflow between physical locations, and provide patient care via telepharmacy. Our amazing clients range from the pharmacy down the street to large healthcare systems all over the United States. Now, we have an opening for a JavaScript Engineer to join our team in Iowa City and help build a best-in-class product. We work hard, but we like to have fun too. As part of the Fuse team within Cardinal Health, we offer a startup environment with the stability and benefits of a Fortune 20 company. Working at Cardinal can be your chance to make a real difference in the future of healthcare.

What you’ll be doing

TelePharm is a modern web application, cloud hosted, and designed from the ground-up to be scalable and maintainable. At TelePharm, we don’t silo engineers to a particular part of the business. You could be working on WebRTC one day, optimizing database queries another day, and Artificial Intelligence algorithms the next. You'll have the guidance you need to become an expert in the technologies we use:

  • Node.js

  • Angular

  • TypeScript / ESNext

  • WebRTC

  • WebSockets

  • PostgreSQL

  • Redis

  • Docker

What we’re looking for

The bottom line is: We are looking for a self-motivated full-stack JavaScript engineer that’s excited to tackle new problems and learn from top-notch engineers. If you are excited about changing health care and thrive in an environment that demands you stretch yourself (sorry, no free yoga), you’d fit in at TelePharm.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience required
  • Experience with JavaScript
